These are challenging times for many businesses. The changes were necessitated not only by the world’s responses to the COVID-19 Pandemic, but also because of the perception that the world may go into a recession because of the economic effects of the Pandemic. It is more important now than ever, that these businesses can continue to conduct their businesses as profitably as possible. This can be achieved by having a robust online presence. It is with great excitement that I, therefore, announce that the .ng promo, NiRA’s contribution to the successful metamorphosis of business, went live on the 24th of August 2020. The response has been inspiring and I am grateful to the NiRA Executive Board for their foresight in driving such an intervention as well as the team at the NiRA Secretariat for exceptional delivery and the NiRA Accredited Registrars for their active participation. If you are yet to take advantage of the promo, hurry now to for access to the participating NiRA Accredited Registrars. We are grateful to our registrars for also driving this in their campaigns. The .ng promo ends on the 20th of November 2020.

As a major player in the Nigeria Internet space, NiRA is determined to continue to contribute to its inclusiveness, safety, accessibility and security. It is in this vein that I and other members of the team will be participating as Panellists and Moderators during the NIGF2020, which will be a virtual event. As a member of the Local Multi-stakeholder Advisory Group, NiRA will also be driving the ideals of Internet Governance this year, particularly as it concerns women and the youth. The importance of this year’s core message, Inclusiveness, cannot be overemphasized. We must all join hands to change the narrative and trigger development in this area.

As we head into the final quarter of a year that has challenged us as human beings, we are hopeful for the impending triumph of the world against this deadly coronavirus and grateful for all the work that is going into the instrument of that triumph, the vaccine. All is not lost, we are grateful to those in the frontlines and continue to pray for them and their families.  Meanwhile, for the safety of all, we must continue to adhere to the non-pharmaceutical interventions as outlined by the experts.
