Engr. Ikechukwu Nnamani, a member of the Executive Board of Directors of the Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NiRA) and the Chief Executive Officer of Medallion Communications Limited received the special recognition award at the 2020  Nigeria Tech Innovation & Telecom Awards (NTITA) for his contributions to the Telecom Sector in Nigeria. According to the organizers, InstituteWave, the contributions of Engr Nnamani has continued to help bridge the digital divide in Nigeria. This was at the NAF Conference Centre and Suites, Abuja on the 7th of November 2020. Recall that in the 2019 edition of NTITA, Engr Nnamani had won the Data Centre Personality Award in the year 2019 for the impact on the Nigeria economy of his work in the promotion of data centre business in Nigeria. The art of winning IT and Telecoms awards across Nigeria and Africa comes naturally to Engr Ike Nnamani and his organisation, Medallion Communications Limited.

As the Chief Executive Officer of Medallion Communications Limited, an interconnect clearinghouse and Co-location Data service Company, Engr. Ikechukwu Nnamani has continued to pilot the affairs of Medallion Communications Limited to win many accolades. With a core vision of bridging the digital divide between nations and integrates technologies for practical solutions, Engr. Nnamani has focused on implementing the core network infrastructure that promotes, develops, and distributes local contents and ensuring a high quality of service is delivered to the subscribers at an affordable price.

Engr Nnamani and Medallion Communications Limited are used to winning several awards annually based on the quality of work of both the individual and the organisation. At the 2020 Ghana Information Technology and Telecoms Awards (GITTA), on the 13th November 2020, Medallion Communication Limited also won the best DataCenter of the year award.

Before co-founding Medallion Communications Limited, Engr Nnamani had worked as an optical systems engineer at Luxcore Networks Inc, in Atlanta Georgia, USA, where he had helped design and manufacture Luxcore’s Semiconductor and Waveguide Optical Regenerative Device.

We must commend Engr Nnamani and Medallion Communications Limited on these great achievements.

We have noted the other achievements of Engr Ikechukwu Nnamni in his emergence on Thursday 12th November 2020 as the President of the Association of Telecommunication Companies of Nigeria (ATCON) 2020-2022. We congratulate him.  NiRA wishes Engr Nnamani and the other NEC members of ATCON, the very best as he and his team have vowed to focus on Strengthening the ATCON Secretariat for more efficiency, driving increased membership and Financial sustainability of the Association.
