It was an assembly of eminent Nigerians at the Oriental Hotel, Lekki, Lagos for the launch and public presentation of the book: “NIGERIA – DRIVERS OF DIGITAL PROSPERITY: The Trajectories of The Digital Evolution, Sector Analysis, and Players’ Contributions”, authored by Aaron Ukodie, one of Nigeria’s pioneer ICT and Technology Journalists. Some of the high-profile Nigerians present at the occasion were Dr. Emmanuel Ekuwem, the Secretary to the Akwa Ibom State Government who was also a former President of the Association of Telecommunications Companies of Nigeria (ATCON), and Dr. Ernest Ndukwe, Chairman MTN Nigeria who was the EVC/CEO of NCC when Nigeria recorded the landmark success with the award of the GSM licenses.
The Author, Aaron Ukodie profiles in his book the contributions of the celebrated and unsung Nigerians and corporate entities who endured the uncharted pathways to Nigeria’s notable growth in information Technology and Telecommunications. He features the MD/C.E.O of Internet Xchange Point of Nigeria (IXPN) and President of NiRA, Mr. Muhammed Rudman as one of such Nigerians. Mr. Rudman was later presented with the Order of Excellence for Impact on Nigeria’s Digital Prosperity award, received by his representative, Mrs. Chioma Keke, the Head of Business Development, NiRA.
