Preparations for AFRINIC -27

In the preceding edition of our e-Newsletter, there were references to NiRA’s preparative activities as the local host for AFRINIC -27. From the concept note released for AFRINIC-27, AFRINIC is “Taking the African Internet to the Next Level through Policy, Collaboration and Education”.  The location for this great event is Lagos State, Nigeria. The website for AFRINIC -27 is up and running, https://meeting.afrinic.net/afrinic-27/.  Please register to attend. There are still some details to be placed on the website but these would be made available as the plans are finalized by AFRINIC with NiRA.

Lagos will host hundreds of key players in the African and global Internet industry sector at the 27th public policy meeting of AFRINIC. The event dubbed AFRINIC 27 will be a platform for technocrats and businesses to discuss policies, trends, resources and challenges in growing the Internet for sustainable development in Africa and the Indian Ocean Region. The press release was circulated on the 10th of August, 2017 by AFRINIC.
