Finally, the year 2018 is here!! Let me take this opportunity to wish everyone a Happy New Year. While thanking God for seeing us through 2017, my prayer is that we will all experience divine guidance in all that we do in 2018 and beyond.
This New Year brings another set of opportunities and challenges. We shall seize every opportunity to connect with all stakeholders in the .ng community, to ensure more positive online presence of Nigerians, Nigerian businesses, the Nigerian culture and promote further awareness of the .ng brand. We shall “preach” the benefits of getting online and using .ng domain names, for further growth of our economy and job creation. Together, by the grace of God, We shall succeed.
We shall be hosting a special program for Nigerian bloggers early this year, in recognition of the potent reach of bloggers within the Internet community. We want the .ng brand, to be the preferred brand for Nigerians, Africans and indeed, people of the world. Be on the look out for this.
We still have a lot of work to do to make the .ng domain the preferred brand and we are determined to achieve our goals in not only growing the numbers but also to ensure a safer Internet and create entrepreneurship opportunities for our teeming Youth.
I sincerely hope we will all work hard to achieve all our set goals. Let us get the folks out there to hop on the train for their online presence, ensuring they use the .ng domain name to identify themselves, their businesses and brand.
NIRA will continue to strive at providing an enabling environment and I am confident that with hard work and your support we would cover a lot more grounds this year.
