On Thursday, 22nd of March 2018, NIRA through its Special Purpose Vehicle, the NIRA Academy, organised a one-day free training on Website Design Using WordPress at NIRA Office Complex, 8 Funsho Williams Avenue, Surulere Lagos. The Website Design Workshop was designed to provide basic knowledge and skills required to design a Website with WordPress or start a career in web design.
Revd. Sunday Folayan, the President of NIRA welcomed the participants and advised them to utilise the opportunity given to them, to learn.
Mrs Edith Udeagu, the Chief Operating Officer of NIRA who is also the Registrar of the NIRA Academy enlightened the participants on the functions of NIRA. She encouraged participants to actively participate at the training; noting that the objective of the training was to equip the participants with the knowledge and skills to enable them to build their own websites and blogs.
Three NIRA Accredited Registrars (Whogohost Limited, Upperlink Limited and Trefoil Network Limited) were also available to make presentations in relation to Domain name registration and Hosting to the participants. At the end of the workshop, a certificate of attendance was presented to each participant.
