NiRA 10th AGM Highlights 

The Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NiRA) held its 10th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Monday 30th April, 2018 at the NiRA Office Complex, 8 Funsho Williams Avenue, Iponri, Surulere, Lagos. The AGM was well attended by NiRA Members, Stakeholders, Observers and the Press.

The primary purpose of the AGM was for the NiRA Executive Board of Directors, to give account of the 2017 activities and the business plan for financial year 2018 of the Association to members and the stakeholders.

Reverend Sunday Folayan, the NiRA President reported on the growth in the number of .ng domain name registrations and the adopted price charter, which is based on domain registration landmarks at the second level. All NiRA activities seek to create awareness of the Nigerian online identity. The price charter seeks to progressively reduce the price of the .ng domain name based on the number of active 2nd level .ng domain names.

NiRA Plans to hold an electronic general meeting within the next three months to elect a member, to fill the void on its Executive Board of Directors.
