2018 NIRA Awards, Thank you all

The 2018 edition of the .ng Awards that held on Friday 6th July 2018 has come and gone and it is my duty to thank everyone that contributed to the success of the Awards.

The night, which is the third edition of the .ng Awards was a blast, enjoyed by all. The ladies and gentlemen who graced the occasion were smartly adorned. It was a night filled with excitement and fun.

We are grateful to God and to everyone that contributed to the success of the night, especially those who actively participated by nominating their brand of choice, and subsequently voting to ensure they won.

With each passing year since the .ng Awards came to be, (apart from the positive statistics) it is clear that the acceptability and penetration of .ng is growing across the country. This year, there were award winners from the Eastern and Northern parts of the country, which shows the active participation of all geographical zones, and proves that beyond Lagos, there are endless possibilities in this connected world of ours.

We have a task, and it is to continue to project the image of the .ng country code Top Level Domain (ccTLD) brand and the Domain Name System (DNS) Industry through laudable ideas and innovations.

Thank you all, for making this year’s edition of the Awards a success and we look forward to the future and your continued participation.

2018 Media College

I specially invite members of the Press to “The 2018 Media College workshop”, scheduled to hold on Friday, 20th July, 2018 at NiRA Office Complex.

This workshop aims to further enlighten the Press Corps on the various activities and opportunities in the DNS Industry. It is part of NiRA’s effort in creating the groundswell that will educate the general public and ultimately accelerate the development of the DNS Industry.

If you are actively involved in ICT reporting or Technology generally, make out the time to be at the college and get equipped. Please reserve a space by emailing academy@nira.org.ng.  It is free.

I remain at your service.

Rev’d Sunday Folayan
