Important Administrative Changes in NiRA

I am pleased to announce very important Administrative changes in the Management of the Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NIRA).

Mrs. Eyitayo Iyortim will assume the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) of NIRA with effect from 1st December 2018. Eyitayo comes from a rich Information Technology background with a keen eye on Project Management and Operational Excellence. We are delighted to attract such a talent as Eyitayo to NIRA, and look forward to her contributing positively as a member of the NIRA Family.

In the last four years, Mrs. Edith Udeagu has brought a lot of stability to the NIRA Secretariat, in her role as the Chief Operating Officer and the Head of the Secretariat. With effect from 1st December 2018, Edith will assume the role of the Executive Secretary to the Board of NIRA, and the Head of the Secretariat.

The Board of NIRA is delighted with these advances, as it further solidifies NIRA’s footprint and positions the organization for growth and the needed resilience to make the registry a force to reckon with.

With over 66 Registrars and our steady march to 150,000 domains in the registry, the need to ensure operational excellence and a robust operation is very important at this point in time, serving its stakeholders and helping to deepen the utilization of the Nigerian identity – .ng.

Please join me in welcoming Eyitayo, and here is wishing the Secretariat team, very many more successes in the days to come.

I remain at your service.

Rev’d Sunday Folayan

President
