CPN 2019 IT Professionals Assembly/Annual General Meeting

The Computer Professionals (Registration Council of Nigeria) hosted the 2019 IT Professional Assembly/Annual General Meeting with the theme “Digital Infrastructure: Defining the next step”. The event, which took place at Nicon Luxury, Abuja from Wednesday, 26th June to Thursday, 27th June, 2019 was attended by various dignitaries and senior Information Technology (IT) officials. It featured many seasoned speakers in the Information Technology profession.
The annual CPN Information Technology Professionals’ Assembly is a conference of Information Technology practitioners, decision makers and IT stakeholders in Nigeria. The Assembly provides opportunities for key players in the industry to dynamically discuss and strategize on evolving and challenging issues in Information Technology in order to come up with recommendations and decisions that will impart positively on the industry and the nation.
The event concluded with an Annual General Meeting which also featured election for the position of the Council Chairman and Council Vice Chairman. The election was conducted electronically. The winners of the election were sworn into office on Thursday 27th June, 2019 are Prof. Charles Onuwa Uwadia – Chairman and Mr. Kole Jagun – Vice Chairman.
NiRA representatives and its Accredited Registrars, exhibited at the event and provided a platform for participants to engage and register their .ng domain names.
