The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) in collaboration with Lagos State Government held a Stakeholder Engagement meeting on the 8th of February 2022 at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) event centre, Ikeja, Lagos.
The event was graced by dignitaries from different Ministries and Departments of the State and Federal Government. In attendance were the Lagos State Honorable Commissioner for Science and Technology, Mr. Hakeem Fahm, representative of the Director-General of NITDA, Mr. Ajayi Ayodimeji who is the Director, Zonal Offices Directorate, the Head of NITDA Southwest Zonal Office, Mrs. Chioma J. Okee-Aguguo and other members of NITDA Management. The President, Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NiRA) Mr. Muhammad Rudman was also in attendance, accompanied by the Chief Operating Officer and other members of the team.
The one-day programme themed “Creating Opportunities, Breaking Boundaries: Towards Digitalization and Entrepreneurial Evolution” was very well attended, with representation from the public and private sector. NITDA’s goal of increasing collaboration with Stakeholders towards cascading the Agency’s impact to the grassroots was advanced by the presentation of the agency’s “Strategic Roadmap and Action Plan (SRAP) Implementation Program” as well as the plan towards the “Sustainability of NITDA Intervention Projects In Lagos State” The meeting served as a veritable platform to pool knowledge, experience and expertise and as a means of co-creating solutions, articulating strategies and extending NITDA’s services to all stakeholders, especially at the grassroots.
The meeting produced a draft communique which will be shared with the general public. NiRA is pleased to be a stakeholder organization, contributing her quota to the growth of Nigeria’s Digital Economy.
