Charting the Course: Advancing Nigeria’s Digital Landscape with .ng

I am honoured to address you today as we navigate our journey as stewards of Nigeria’s country code Top Level Domain (ccTLD) at .ng. At the core of our strategy lies a pivotal pillar: collaboration among stakeholders in propelling the development and advancement of the Nigerian Internet Space.

One significant milestone we’ve achieved is the remarkable growth in .ng domain adoption. This surge in domain name registrations underscores the expanding digital landscape in Nigeria, highlighting the pivotal role of .ng CCTLD in fostering innovation and supporting our vibrant tech community.

The NG Academy, a special-purpose vehicle of NiRA, recently hosted a virtual Tech Career Outlook webinar. Here, we explored emerging trends and career opportunities within the DNS space, providing invaluable insights and tips for success. It was a platform for stakeholders to engage in meaningful discussions on contributing to the continued growth of Nigeria’s digital space.

We’re eagerly anticipating our upcoming 16th Annual General Meeting in April. This gathering allows us to reflect on the past year, assess our goals, and evaluate how our actions and partnerships have contributed to NiRA’s success. The Association’s executive board of directors, board of trustees, and members will engage in discussions instrumental in shaping NiRA’s journey in our digital landscape.

At NiRA, our commitment to fostering digital innovation and nurturing Nigeria’s internet ecosystem remains unwavering. We extend heartfelt gratitude to each of you for your unwavering support in promoting the growth and adoption of the .ng domain brand. Together, we are shaping the future of Nigeria’s digital landscape, and with your continued support, we are confident of achieving even greater heights.

Thank you for your dedication and commitment to our shared vision. Together, let us continue to pave the way for Nigeria’s brighter and more prosperous digital future.

Warm Regards,

Adesola Akinsanya,

President NiRA.
