DISRUPTIVE INNOVATION FOR TECHNOLOGY ADVANCEMENT- NACOS 2022

Over the past two decades, the Nigeria Association of Computing students (NACOS) congregates for a yearly conference aimed at developing and empowering students with knowledge of Technology, as a strategic instrument for facilitating and building skilled capacities for self-reliance. This year’s National Conference themed “Disruptive Innovation for Technology Advancement (DITA’22)” was a drive towards game-changing innovation and information technology enhancement within the nation.

The two-day brainstorming event, which assembled students from all areas of Information Communication and Technology held from the 16th to the 18th of August 2022 at Chrisland University, Abeokuta Ogun State. The Vice-Chancellor, Chrisland University, Prof. (Mrs) Chinedum Peace Babalola, and other experts from a variety of domains interacted with students and shared from their wealth of knowledge on how to build and scale innovative solutions in the dynamic and underserved Nigerian market. The audience composed of students from departments of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Information Technology Engineering, and other related fields from all Institutions in Nigeria, engaging in conversations geared toward 21st-century emerging technologies. The Nigeria Internet Registration Association was represented by Mr. Francis Alaneme (Technical Support Assistant), and Miss Chetachi Alajuruonye (Project Management Officer). NiRA’s commitment to securing the internet and contributing to advancing innovation and creativity in Nigeria drives these collaborations and moreover, it was an enabling platform to promote the adoption and use of the .ng domain.
