.ng Academy, the training arm of the Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NiRA), has successfully hosted a Pre-Conference Workshop at the NCS RISE 2026 International Conference, deepening its investment in the digital skills that underpin Nigeria’s fast-growing digital economy.
The workshop forms part of NiRA’s continued drive to build local digital capacity, and drew professionals, entrepreneurs, and technology enthusiasts eager to sharpen the practical skills needed to compete in an AI-driven, digitally connected economy.
Nigeria’s digital economy is expanding rapidly, but that growth continues to be constrained by a practical skills gap many professionals and entrepreneurs understand digital tools in theory without the hands-on ability to apply them productively. At the same time, the rise of AI-powered tools and increasingly competitive social platforms means that digital relevance now depends on continuous, practical upskilling rather than one-off learning.
The Pre-Conference Workshop was designed to close that gap. By pairing the NCS RISE 2026 International Conference with targeted, hands-on training, .ng Academy created a platform where participants could move beyond conversation about digital transformation and actually build the workflow automation and branding skills needed to compete in today’s economy. The workshop reflects NiRA’s broader recognition that a digitally empowered Nigeria depends not just on infrastructure and policy, but on equipping people with usable, market-ready skills.
Participants engaged in practical, hands-on training delivered through two core modules designed to translate directly into workplace and business impact: Module 1: Virtual Assistants for Digital Workflow; equipping attendees with tools and techniques to streamline productivity and optimise daily workflows using AI-powered virtual assistants. Module 2: Social Media Branding and Marketing; providing practical strategies for building a strong digital brand presence and executing effective marketing campaigns on social platforms.
By the end of the session, participants left with actionable skills to improve productivity, strengthen their digital presence, and remain competitive contributors to Nigeria’s digital economy.
