NiRA Participates in the 15th Edition of the Nigeria Digital Sense Forum

The Nigerian Internet Registration Association (NiRA) proudly participated in the 15th edition of the Nigeria Digital Sense Forum, organized by IT Realms. The event focused on an innovative digital economy and safer civic space which brought together a diverse group of participants from the tech industry, media, government, civic organizations, and educational institutions. The forum provided a platform to address key issues related to digital innovation and societal impact, emphasizing the importance of fostering a secure and forward-thinking digital environment for future generations.

Mr. Edetaen Ojo, the Chairman of the Planning Committee opened the forum. His remarks set the tone for a series of insightful discussions aimed at exploring the intersection of technology and civic engagement. The presence of stakeholders from various sectors, including the Internet Exchange Point of Nigeria (IXPN) and Paradigm Initiative, underscored the collaborative effort required to build and sustain a thriving digital economy.

Representing NiRA at the forum were President Mr. Adesola Akinsanya and Social Media Officer Toni Peter. Among the honorees were current and former members of NiRA’s Board of Trustees and Executive Board of Directors, including Mrs. Ibukun Odusote, Engr. Ikechukwu Nnamani, Dr. Christopher Nwannenna, and Mr. Muhammed Rudman. These awards celebrate the significant impact and enduring commitment of NiRA’s leadership to the growth and development of Nigeria’s digital ecosystem.
